A lettei was received from the municipal solicitor, stating it wits not a breach lor a person (1) to leave his horse tied to a. post while he transacted business, (2) to hold his horse by the bridle while it grazed on the footpath, or (3).t0 have his horse in charge of a. boy, who held It by -a rope while it grazed <m tiie road. '! tie horse was not. in ;iuv of these cases, “wandering- tu. large, or si raving- in, or lying- about., or tethered in any* road.” The ‘ Gazette showing the , new boundaries for the proposed now oloclora-l district of Otaki was received and laid on the table. The Shannon Borough Council wrote applying tor copies of the town Board’s by-laws, which the. Council intended to adopt in tplo,--Copy to be supplied.
