Amongst the riders in the hunters' competitions at the Show was a soldier, who wore his uniform Many visitors to the Show yesterday remarked on the fine display made in tho parade of prize stock, and the excellent manner in which it was arranged and carried out, a regular attendant at- the shows for year's- past .stating that it was the beet he had witnessed. The parade certainly reflects credit on the officials responsible for the arrangements. At the woolgrowers' meeting in Palmerston yesterday, a motion was passed that it be a recommendation to the Government that the N.Z. Woolgrowers' Committee bo given official status, and that in connection with the appointment of a wool umpire, the present umpire should be re-appointed for the coming season. -—?
