SAFE ROBBERY AT AUCKLAND.
(Pib Pkfrs Association.) AUCKLAND, Nov. 2. A safe in the railway goods shed at Auckland was broken open by explosives during the night. Between £2OO and ..•OH in cash was removed. The niglitwntchman heard on explosion in the railway poods .shod and raised tho alarm. When he returned with several others the "burglars had decamped. Tho safe was a large one, embedded in reinforced concrete, and contained money foe paying the employees to-day. Gelignite had been worked into the keyhole and fired with a detonator and fuse. An entrance was effected to the .shed by forcing the back door.
