(Renter’s Telegram.) Riceived November 2. 10.5 a.m. LONDON, Nov. I, The French shipping returns show the arrivals to have been 638 and sailings 795. with two sinkings above and one below 1600 tons. Four vessels were unsuccessfully attacked. LONDON, Oct. I. The Italian official shipping returns for the week show 459 arrivals and 376 departures. Two steamers were sunk and one escanod after being attacked.’ A GERMAN SUBMARINE. DISCOVERY BY EXPERTS. Received November 1. 8.55 a.m. NEW YORK. Nov. 1. Experts have discovered that a_ German | submarine, captured by the British, coni tains several stolen American patents.
