HEAVY TURKISH LOSSES’. Australian-New Zealand Cable Association. LONDON, Oct. 31. | An Egyptian oflicial message says; Three thousand Turks, with twelve guns, attacked our cavalry outposts on Saturday. Though I outnumbered and enveloped, the London Yeomanry gallantly held their positions for six hours until reinforced. Our casualties wore under 100. The Turkish losses were heavy. | BRITISH CAPTURE BEERSHEBA. Australian-New Zealand Cable Association. I (Reuter’s Telegram.) Received November 1, 8.40 a.m I NEW YORK. Nov. I. I Reports received state that Beershcba has been captured. Received November 2, 11.10 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 1. An Egyptian official message says;— After a. night march we attacked Boersheba yesterday morning and while the infantry attacked the western and south-western defences the mounted men made a wide turning movement through the desert, and approached from tho east. Boersheba was occupied in the evening despite determined, resistance.
