Sir George Reid, addressing- the Merchants’ Association, said that now America was in the war, Britain should make the blockade real. German outlaws should not bo allowed to table peace terms. Peace must bo dictated to them. Sir George Reid predicted closer political relations j after the war between Britain and Arnej idea. j Mr G. W. Wiokersham, former Attorney- : General, said; “We should be proud to j be Allies of a nation which produces magnificont soldiers like the Anzacs.”
