GATE RECEIPTS. As was to be expected from the unseasonable weather, the attendance was materially affected, thorn being a drop in the receipts of £3G2 9s lid as compared with when a three days' show was held, as against two this year. The receipts lor the present show were as follows:—First day, £92 4s 5d ; people's day, £434 'l6s Id; grandstand (both days), C9O 9s 6d; grand total, £617 10s. The receipts for last spring show were £979 19s lid. The following table gives a comparison of takings for five, voars past:— 1912, (Jlo7f, 16s 3d; 19D), £769 13s (>d ; 1914, £lOl7 17s 8d; 1915, £BO-1 13s; 1916, £979 19s lid.
