7,500,000 TONS OF SHIPPING IN 1918. AuntrJ>Han-N<vo' Zealand Cable Association Received November 1, 11.15 a.rn. WASHINGTON, Oct. 31. Mr Hurley, chairman of the Shipping Board, says the American shipyards will deliver seven and a-half million tons of new vessels in 1918. Every assistance is being rendered to shipyard firms and workers. FIGHTING ENEMY SUBMARINE. (United Service.) LONDON, Oct. 30. It js estimated that submarines, auxiliary cruisers, armed merchantmen, and others fighting the enemy submarines exceed ten thousand, whereof 3000 are commissioned small craft,.
