THE FIRST LABOUR SENATOR. Received October 27, 8.55 a.m. OTTAWA, Oct. 25. A. K. McLean _ and Senator Robertson have been sworn in as members of the Coalition Ministry, Mr Murray, Premier of Nova Scotia, refusing to join the Cabinet, Senator Robertson is the first. Labour ronresentativo to bold a seat in the Senate.
[The Canadian Senate consists of 87 members nominated for life by the GovernorGeneral, The statement in regard to Senator Robertson therefore must be taken to mean that that gentleman lias been appointed as a member of the Senate to onpbio him to take a seat in the New National Cabinet.)
