RETURNED SOLDIERS.

[Fbou Our Parliamentary Reporter.) ■WELLINGTON, Oct, 19. Tho Minister for Defence mentioned in tho House to-day that 12,652 members of the Expeditionary Force have returned to New Zealand up to tho end of September. Of these men 9652 had been discharged, 1254 had returned to duty, ">1 were dead, 494 wero awaiting discharge, 100 were waiting to return to duty, 780 were receiving hospital or sanatorium treatment, 290 were on sick leave, 21 were on special leave. 4 had deserted, and 6 wero in prison.
