GENERAL HAIG'S REPORT. AuStralian-New Zealand Cabin Association. LONDON. Oct,. 17. Sir Douglas Ifaig reports:— Our patrols arc active, and brought in a [ew prisoners. There is considerable reciprocal artillery lighting, and in tho clearer we-atlier there is much effective counter battery work. The South Midlandera raided trenches yesterday in the neighbourhood of Roeux and inflicted casualties. Another raid to the northward of Lens yielded its a few prisoners. Our tire in the early morning repulsed a strong Taiding party south-west of Acheville. Our aeroplanes yestorday machine-gunned the enemy infantry to a low altitude and dropped two ton's of bombs on a large dump at (,'ourtrai and on other targets. We brought down live machines. Three of ours are missing.
