At Addington market to-day there were aya in moderate yardings of fat stock and large entries of store cattle and dai y (.•ow-fi, There was an increase in the offering of store sheep and a good sale resulted, especially for wethers and hoggets, which showed an advance. The lat: cattle offering's were small, the quality moderate, and prices tinner, values being equal to from 56s to over 60s per lOOlbs, A small yarding of fat lambs met with a good sale. Fat sheep wore firmer, the yarding !ipim r a moderate one, and included a „ um ber of Southland and North Otago lines, as well as the first shorn .sheep, of the season, The market was very iirrii and prices for prime quality showed a liltje advance. There was a very large ya'ding of store cattle, mostly made up of two and throe-year-olds and pens oi dry cows and heifers, but there were a few varlings. There was o. good clearance at late "rates. Fat pigs were easier, as a local bacon curcr had secured a supply of baconcrs from the North Island. Store pigs, on the other hand, were in strung demand. Dairy cows met with a good sue.
