SOCIAL HYGIENE BILL.

The women’s protest meeting against the Social Hygiene Bill to-night- passed resolutions calling, upon tin* Government to withdraw the present Bill, holding that such legislation would hjrvo the effect of - , driv' iiig the evil underground, and inviting the Government to place the matter of. social hygiene before the women’s societies, which for 20 years have been suggesting u resolution of the problem. Another resolution passed was on the lines of that passed bust Saturday. Further resolutions expressed the opinion that the Government should establish farm colonies, where persons who are a menace .to the health and morals ,of the community should he given an opportunity to earn a living under supervision, and requesting the Government and local bodies and the Education Department to inaugurate a course of lectures on social hygiene.
