SIR ERNEST SHACKLETON ARRIVES.

Sir l-'.i-ne-t Shaekleton arrived this morning from 'Frisco by the Moana, accompanied bv Captain Morsley, who commanded the K-iidurance until she was crushed out of the •< ein Weddel Sen. He was met by Dr McNab, Minister for Marine, the Mayor of Wellington, and Captain Stem house, of the relief .-hip Aurora. Sir Lrnesl Shaekleton stated Inal he had been travelling since September 12th to t-c :ne t-.- N'ew Zealand. He expressed his appreciation of all Australia and New' Zealand had done in preparing for the relief of his Ross Sea party. He declined to make any statement as to the plans or personnel of'the relief party by the Aurora. He mentioned that he and the party who had landed in South Georgia had quite recovered from their ha rdship.-. and (hat Wild and his partv, now in Condon, were also doing well. ~ . Questioned as to the prospect- of relieving the Ross Sea. party. Sir Ernest -aid the information had only been received by him in patches, but be expected the men would be found safe and sound.
