FOR FAILING TO ASSIST INJURED PERSON. . (Pti Prb»* AmmcMfioiM CHRISTCHURCH, July 24. As the result of a collision between a motor-car and a motor-cycle on July sth on the New Brighton road when a girl passenger in the side car had her leg and thigh broken, John Whitty was before the Court to-day charged with having failed to stop after the accident. Complainant alleged that defendant was on the wrong side of the road and had no lights. The Magistrate inflicted a fine of £3 and costs. He said it was the duty of a taxi-driver to stand by the injured.
