FORTY SHILLINGS DAMAGES.
AN OHAKUNE LIBEL ACTION. (Pn Pbiii auogution.l WANGANUI, June 12. Alex. Hor!»ort Wilkio, Borough Councillor, of Ohakune, claimed £250 from Patrick Dunne, late proprietor of the Ohakune Times, in respect to an alkged libel contained in a letter published in the paper. The case was heard before Judge Edwards alone, and ho awarded forty shillings damages.
