A liindquarter of Queensland beef was exhibited at Smithfield (London) after eighteen years' cold storage. It had a faded appearance, but a portion which was roasted was pronounced sound. The Rev. D. The Duke of Argyll's will leaves Princess Louise a life interest in his personal and landed estates wherever he had free power of disposal. At tho Empire Press Union luncheon, Mr Crosby, of East London, South Africa, said his * message to the Empire was : "Keep out Hindus and coloured people."
