Hundreds of scholars in Warwickshire have struck as a protest against the decision of the authorities to enforce attendance after the children had passed their thirteenth birthday. They paraded the streets carrying flags and damaged the school buildings. The police dispersed the processions several times Children in the Scottish schools are also causing trouble. Thev demanded a shorter school day, a half-holiday and no caning when they returned. Each child however, was given four strokes. Ihe headmaster was busy for half an hour.
