THE PRICE OF MONEY.
(Peb Phess Association.) DUNEDIN, March 1. Several business men seem to believe that circumstances warrant a reduction in the price of loan money in New Zealand. It is anticipated that financiers will reduce the rate after March 31 at the latest. In some directions enterprise is stayed pending a reduction in the rates on borrowed money. It is pointed out that when the " London money market becomes tight, as the saying goes, the effect is felt very soon afterwards in the colonies. The' argument seems to be that the result should be experienced when money is obtained easily in the world's financial markets.
