METHODIST CONFERENCE.
FIRST DRAFT OF STATIONS. (Peb Press Association.) DUNEDIN, March 4. At the Methodist conference the transfer of Rev. W. P. Knight from the Victorian Conference was approved and the transfer of Rev. J. W. Burton to Victoria was sanctioned, this exchange to be reviewed at the end of three vears.
Considerable time was devoted to a discussion on the question of the constitition of Durham-street circuit as a city mission, the proposal being negatived by a large majority. The first draft of stations was presented to the Methodist Conference today. The following are appoinments for Manawatu district.—Pahnerston North (Broad street), Revs. F. W. Boys and 0. Burnett; Cuba street, Rev J. H. Haslam ; Feilding, Revs. D. J. Murray and T. Coatsworth and one wanted ; .supernumerary, Rev. p. W. Jones; Sanson and Rongotea, Re-v J. J.' Mather; Foxton, Rev. J. Benning and home missionary ; Kimbolton, home missionary ; Woodville, Rev. C. Abernethy.
