INCOME TAX EXEMPTIONS.

The result of to-day's meeting of the Labour caucus was not communicated to the Press, hut the Telegraph understands that it i« almost certain that the caucus agreed that income tax exemption be reduced .from £'3oo to £"'2 so, which will apply to this year's incomes. There will b<> no alteration in the exemption of £SO for each child, but the tax on incomes from rural lands will bo raised from a six ponce an eight pence basks. The taxation existing in New Zealand-in respect to cheques and receipts will also bo imposed.
