WOMAN ENDS MISERABLE LIFE 15Y POISONING. (Pee Pef.ss AssoctATiON.) AVCKLANI), March 3. A woman uaiwd },lcLeod was found dead in bed at lu'r residence. Wake-iield-street, tin's morning. She married but tiad been living apart from her husband. A man named Wood resided in the same house and when he awoke at 4.30 o'clock this morning he found Mrs McLeod was dead, evidently as the result of having taken poison. He reported the matter to the police. An inquest was held before Mr Cutten, S.?d., Coroner.

William Ruben Woods said he went home about 0.30 last nighb slightly under the influence oi liquor. The woman did not no to bed, hut at ahout 10 o'clock went out and brought in a constable! Ho did not know why the constable came or how long he stayed. He went to sleep shortly afterwards and did not awaken until 4.30 a.m. H< saw deceased lying on the floor. Ho summoned the police. The constable stated that he was called in last night by Mrs McLeod. who alleged that her husband was rowing with her.

Medical evidence showed that death was due to poison. There were tw< bruises on the body, one on the hip and one on the arm.

The iurv returned a verdict of deatl from poison taken while mentally de pressed.
