Hon. James McGowen. referring to a usolution passed by the Orange Lodge objecting to the religion of the new Governor, Sir G. Strickland, saye: "Wo haven't acted, as the Grand Lodgo desires, as a medium between them and the King's representative. The Government does not consider the resolution a proper communication for it to forward to the King's representative, reflectine as it does upon his Majesty's prerogative and impugning his loyalty to tho State."
