THEATRICAL MANAGER ASSAULTED.
MR FRED DUVAL INJURED. (Peb Pbebb association.) AUCKLAND, Juno 17. A disturbance jtear His Majesty's Theatro last night, resulted in injuries to Mr. I'red Duval, the well-known theatrical manager. Theentertainment given by "The Wanderors" was disturbed by a man who went, out during the interval. The doorkeeper refused to re-admit the man and ho returned with several friends and demanded admission. Mr Duval, manager of the company, endorsed tho doorkeepers' refusal, and tho mail struck Mr Duval a heavy blow on tho. sido of the head, and knocked him against tho corner of the building. A melco ensued, in Svhich several blows were given and returned..':;. Mr Duval was rescued from tho crowd bleeding freely from- a nasty scalp wound.
