HOCKEY.
MANAWATU ASSOCIATION. The committee of tho Manawatu Hockey Association met last evening, there being present—Mossre W. Crump (chairman), A. Webb, A. Cleaver, A. Anderson, W. Primroso, and tho secretary, Mr C. J, Mcliardie, Mr W. Strang, one of the association's Tico-prcsidcnts, forwarded a donation of a guinoa. The Wellington Wednesday Association wrote accepting Juiio sth as a suitable date for the match with Manawatu B at Wellington. An invitation from the Nelson Association to visit them this season was accepted. Mr F. Garner reported a player for using insulting language to him _at tho five-aside tournament. It was decided to suspend tho player for the season, but if an apology is forthcoming before May 19th ho bo reinstated. Tho date for tho commencement of tho ladies and junior cup matches wa6 fixed at May 17th. The fixtures will be drawn on Friday. Permission was granted to the Palmerston A team to play a match with an outside team next Wednesday. The following aro tho senior drawings for the first round:—
