FATAL FIRE.
MAN BURNT TO DEATH.

DUNEDIN, May 6. Tho house of W. Neylon, of Arrowtown, was totally destroyed by fire early this morning, and Neylon perished in the flames. His wife and family had a narrow escape, one daughter being slightly burnt. The remains of the unfortunate man were charred beyond recognition.
BLAZE AT NEW PLYMOUTH.
NEW PLYMOUTH, May 6,
A 6ix-roomed house at Glenavon, a few miles out of town, wa6 destroyed by firo yesterday morning. It was owned and occupied by William Rowe, who escaped in a blanket and trousers, losing everything, including £4O in money and a new bicycle, The house was insured for £250 and tho furniture for £75 in the Ocean.
