ABOUT £IO,OOO WORTH. Four hundred and fifty-eight was 'the total, as given officially, of the stock being sent to Australia by the AVhangape yesterday. The exact numbers arc as follow: Horses—Messrs D. Hoult and Sons, Teikling, 154; Messrs Pliillis Brothers, Australia, 160; Mr Currio, Kai Iwi, 4; Mr J. Casserlcy, Hawera, 2; Mr Anderson, Pahiatua, 7; Mr J. D. Mit-chell,-Manaia, 12; per Tarawera from fiouth (for transhipment), 30; from Lyttelton, 14; by Napier train, from Messrs Ward and McGaffin. 50. Mr Cumc's horses arc thoroughbreds. Cattle—Messrs Dalgety and Co. (for Mr F. Fairey, of Nelson), 3; from Lyttelton, 2. An estimate of the value of the cargo of animals is a difficult thing, but reckoning them at £2O a head, which should not be by any means an over-estimate, there is nearly £IO,OOO •E'orth.
