KUHTZE v. DAHL AND CO., LTD.

(Continued from page 6.)

Hearing of the case of C. Kuhtze (Mr Cooper) v; C. Dahl and Co., Ltd. (Mr Fitzherbert), claim £101 for work donrf and material supplied, was resumed at the S.M. Court this morning, before Mr A. D. Thomson. S.M.

C. Kuhtze, recalled by the defence, was examined regarding several items in his accounts against the defence, which did not agree with the accounts received by them from the vendors of the - goods.

After hearing witness the S.M. said it was apparent that several of the accounts had been erroneously charged up, and it was deoided, by arrangement, that the, question of accounts be deferred in the meantime, the main issue being decided" at the present hearing. Peter Olsen, engineer, said he assisted Kuhtze in the installation of the plants. He was paid wages and travelling expenses by Kuhtze. It took both of them about two weeks, including necessary instructions to farmers, to instal the plants. All the places were off the railway, and they had to drive to th»m. They also had to~ return to eome of the places fivo or six times, owing to the farmers getting into trouble with their engines. Witness on occasion had bought material on account of Kuhtze, and the latter' was charged with it. i Cross-examined, witness detailed facts in connection with material for various plants, and whether it was obtained from Palmerston or obtained.on the spot. (Left sitting.)
