CORRESPONDENCE.

THE WATER SUPPLY. (TO THE EDITOB.) Sir, —Thanks for your leaderette last evening anent the filthy water that arrives after each rainfall. If the other parts of this city receive the same quality as is supplied to Church Street East, then the. people of Palmerston North are a long-suffering community. It is bad enough at this time of the year when the wet daye are limited, but during laet winter it was enough to make the proverbial parson swear. Those of us who are married know that again and again it was impossible to have the washing done owing to the discoloured water. I trust, Mr Editor, that you will peg away at this matter until an improvement is manifest.—l am, etc., F.J.C
