FAMOUS STATISTICIAN DEAD.
(By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Peb Press Association.) Received April 13, 9.40 a.m. LONDON, April 12. The death is announced of Sir Robert Gilfen, the well-known statistician.
Sir Robert Gif Ten 'was born in 1837, and studied for the law. Later he became chief of the Statistical Department of the Board of Trade and was a noted statistical authority.
