OLD LANDMARK BURNT.

(Per Press Association.) INVERCARGJLL, April 12. A large corrugated iron building in Esk Street, one of the landmarks of Invercargill, was destroyed by . firo early this morning. Part of the premises were occupied by J. E. Watson and Co. as a machine store, and their large stock of agricultural implements and oils were destroyed. The firm is insured for £1000 in the South British, but the loss is considerably above that.
