LAUNCH OF THE YARRA.
AUSTRALIA'S SECOND DESTROYER (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Per Press Association.) LONDON, April 9. The Commonwealth torpedo-boat destroyer Yarra was successfully launched on the Clyde to-day. Mrs Moore, wife of the West Australian Premier, in performing the christening' ceremony, said : "You name, 'Yarra,' signifies 'running water.' May your movements ever be swift in hastening to the protection of our land when danger threatens."
