Ho married Anno, the daughter of the Second Baron Napier of Magdala in 1896. He assumed tho name of Poynder on his succession to a maternal uncle's property in 1881. He is a Major in the Wilts Yeomanry, having - served in the South African war, where he secured the Queen's medal with three clasps.
