W. Hunter, of the Occidental Hotel, announces that the hotel will be ready for guests and boarders on and after Tuesday next. The house has been thoroughly renovated and refurnished and' the proprietor is now in a position to supply the best of accommodation to commercial travellers and visitors. Among the improvements to the house is a private bar, which is fitted in the latest style and stocked with tho best brands of liquors. The dining room will also be a epecial feature, and meals will be supplied at reasonable rates and on the best style.

Messrs J, S. Watchorn and Co., Ltd., are making a fine display of football requisites in their windows, including all the dub jerseys in uso by the Mari.awatu Rugby Union, which make a very attractive display. This year's jerseys are especially well made, and should command a ready, sale. The firm havo also u, fine assortment of football boots, pants and stockings.
