AUCTION SALES. The M.A.C. intimate in our columns to-day that they have been instructed by , Mr F. Guy to sell, at his residence, 39, Taomii street, on Wednesday, tho 13th, at 1 p.m., all his furniture and effects, amongst which may be mentioned nice cottage \ sideboard, plush sette, couches, brass-rail bedsteads, sewing machine, du- . chess chest, lino, etc., all nice and clean, well-kept goods. Mounscy and Co. advertise a sale of furniture and property to be held on Wednesday at Foxton on behalf of Mr Louis Wilson. Mr Wilson is leaving Foxton and every line must be sold under tho hammer at the sale. Among tho many Jines advertised are an excellent piano by Carl Seke, leather suite, Chesterfield, 400-day dock, 6-cwt garden roller, roller top desk, iron office safe, furniture in well furnished comfortable home, horses, buggy, and six valuable sections with buildings in Watson and Duncan streets, Foxton. On Saturday next at their mart at 1.30 p.m., Mounsey and Co. will sell" a property in Park road, together with dwelling of six rooms and all outbuildings. This property is for absolute eale, and the situation should command the attention of everyone in the town and the highest bidder will be well satisfied with himself, as it will prove an excellent investment oven in the present time and the prospective value of property in this fine locality will add considerably to the purchaser's worldly possessions. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., advertise a sale of 60 horses to be held at their yards on Saturday next. At the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency C'o.'s sale of thoroughbred stock to bo held on Thursday next horses will be oli'ered on account of Mr, H Gaisford, Mr W. Scally, and Mr T. Nolan. WOOL, SKIN, AND HIDE SALES. Abraham and Williams. Ltd.. Wellington, _ report on their sale held on the Bth inst. as follows: We offered a catalogue of 36 bales of wool, arid a good assortment of skins and hides. Buyers attended in good force, and bidding for everything offered was keen at late rates. We quote:—Wool: Rough crdssbreds to Bd, lambs' medium Bijd to inferior 7d to 7-id, dead Ud to 7£d, pieces 5s to s£d to 6|d, locks 3£d to 3id. Skins: Half-wools 6|d to quarter-wools' 6d to 6id, lambs 7£d to 7gd, shorn lambs 5Ad to s|d, lambs pelts 4d, dead inferior and shorts 3d to 4d, butchers' damp quarter-wools 3s 3d to 3s sd, halfwools damp 4s to 4s 4d to 4s 8d to 5s 3d, shorn lambs Is 8d to 2s to 2s 3d, lambs 3s 7d to 4s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd , reports as follows': — At yesterday's sale we offered a largo catalogue of wool, skins and hides t<l a, fair attendance of buyers. Bids for skins and hides were quite up to recent eales, and practically everything was sold, but was a shade easier for coaree wool. We quote:—Wool.—Merino medium to 9d per lb, crossbred coarse to 3d, lambs medium 7d. to Bd, seedy 4£d to sd, locks and pieces 2d to 4£d, crutchings 4gd "'to 53d. Sheepskins.—Merino inferior 6?d to Ygd, halfbred and fine crossbred Bgd to crossbred coarse and medium 7d to B£d, dead skins sgd to 6fd, short wool 4gd to 6gd, lambs woolly to erfcirn skl to 6d, green skins 2s to 3s 7d each, green lambs 2s to 2s 10d. Hides.—Cow and light ox to 7-gd, faulty and dry hides 3|5 to 6|d, calf beet. to B|d, damaged |d to 6ld. Tallow.—ln tine 22s 3d to 22s 6d por cwt; rough fat, to 16s per cwt.

LONDON MARKETS. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cable messages from their London house under date of the 7th inst.: —Frozen meat: The demand for all descriptions of frozen meat is less, having been affected by unfavourable weather. Prices for frozen mutton, of which stocks arc small, are from s d to |d lower, but recovery is possible. Prices for lamb, which looks as if it has touched top, are this week gd lower. For beef, any change in prices is in favour of buvers. There are heavier supplies of chilled coming forward. Buyers generally are holding back, expecting to do better later on. Tallow: Since our last wire present prices, which are about at the parity of recent c.i.f. sales, are Is 6d higher. LADIES' COATS.
