ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
(Pee Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 8. John Saunders, a wharf labourer, injured by a bag of sugar falling on him while* working cargo on the steamer Wimmera, died in the Hospital last night. He was a married man, 45 vears of age. TAIHAPE, April 8. An inquest was held at Taurangarere yesterday on a Maori child aged 2 years and 4 months, daughter of Te' liema, who wandered away from her grandfather's house and fell into the river. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
