FOOTBALL.
ASSOCIATION
The annual meeting of the Palmcrston North Association Football Club was hold last night, Mr J. C. Young presiding over a large attendance of members. The report and balance-sheet were adopted as read. The following new members were elected: - —-Messrs R. Rett, A. V. Burnard, Christensen, J. Dann, Richardson, G. Sutton, junr., J. Sharp. J. Morris, and Waters. The question of placing two teams in the field in view of the increased membership, and to make more competition, was discussed, also the alternative of dividing into two distinct clubs. It was decided to set up a committee to get a few more players to complete two teams and rep.ort to a mooting next week. The election of officers and other business was hefd over to the adjourned meeting.
A practice game will be played at Jackcytown on Saturday against the Jackcytown Club, starting at 2.30 p.m. The following will play for Palmerston North:—Waters, Slonian, Shoebridgo, Richardson. Morris, .Sharp, Dann, Perrin, Richards. Sutton, junr., and Stewart. All other members are requested to attend. 'Bus will leave Clarendon corner at 1.30 p.m.
