LONDON, April 4
Rear-Admiral H. Williams succeeds Rear-Admiral Gamble in the reorganising of the Turkish Navy. Duding's grain warehouse at Rotherhithe, containing 15,000 quarters of grain, have been destroyed by fire. The damage totals £40,000.
CONSTANTINOPLE, April 4
King Peter of Servia, the Premier, M. Pashitch, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Milovanovitch, have arrived at Constantinople. Their reception was similar to that accorded to the ruler of Bulgaria on his recent visit to London.
LONDON, April 4. The Colonial Institute has arranged a reception for Sir Geo. and Lady Reid, to take place on the Ist of June.
The West Hartlepool co-partner-ship malcontents complain that under the scheme employment is not continuous, and they also dislike the speeding-up, which they declare is diie to some workers desiring to obtain the best results from the co-partner-ship.
