ENTERTAINMENTS.
HAYWARD'S PICTURES. CHANGE OF PROGRAMME TO-NIGHT. This evening Mr Hayward will prosent his last, change of programme in the Opera House, when he will enter upon the final five nights of his tenancy of the building. With a view to marking the occasion, Mr Hayward intends putting on an exceptionally fine programme, which ho has been keeping in hand for this purpose. All the films could bo classed as star subjects, but' the "headliner" is an exciting picture drama entitled "The Stolen Favourite." a splendid picture, which carries- the audience back to the days of the great sporting productions of Bland Holt. The action is quick and exciting, and the various incidents depicted in a most realistic manner. An exceptionally interesting scenic study shows the "Boracic Natural Springs." the weird surroundings being very reminiscent of Rotorua. The clever Pa the comedian, Mr Max Linder. is seen in a line coloured film entitled "The Tantalising Young Lady," and another star comic is entitled "The Man Who Swallowed a Sponge." Two coloured trick films, cleverly conceived, and an interesting scenic study in natural colours, depicting "Mining in the Mountains." together with some fine Pathe Art Studies, and several other comic and dramatic pictures, complete the programme for this evening.
