DRUIDS' LODGE.
The fortnightly meeting of the Oroua Lodge of Druids, which was held last night, was largely attended. Bro. A. G. Lyall presiding.
Throe candidates wore initiated, six proposed for membership, and one member joined the lodge by clearance. The question of a Friendly Societies' Hall was again under discussion, and the following reply ordered to be sent to the Friendly Societies' Council, "that the lodge was of opinion that the time was opportune for the erection of a
Friendly Societies' Hall in Pahnersfon North."
The election of two delegates to the Friendly Societies' Council resulted in Bros. C. J. Page and F. Jackson being returned. Bros. Cox and Ellis, the two retiring delegates, did not seek re-elec-tion.
During the evening Bro. Fred Jackson was installed as District President for the No. 11 district, P.D.P. Bro. Page carrying out the installation ceremony.
The social and dance committees announced that their first dance would take place on Wednesday next at Devine's hall.
It was decided to commence the cricket match with the Phoenix Club at 10.30 a.m. on Good Friday, the lodge to supply refreshments during the afternoon. At the conclusion of" the meeting the second round of the lodge euchre tourney was played.
