HOSPITAL BOARD.
The only district, in which there appeared a likelihood of there being an election for seats on the Hospital Board was at Kiwitea. where Messrs Fowler, Carman and Bruce were nominated for the two vacancies. However.. Mr Bruce must have retired, since Mr W. Rutherfurd has received intimation that Messrs Fowier and Carman will represent Kiwitea on the.new Board, which is now composed as follows: —Messrs J. G. Wilson, J. A. Nash, W. Stubbs, Essex, Capt. Hewitt. G. Kendall, Spiers, C. Voss, L. R. Bryant, Harford, Fowler, Carman, Vin-ient, Pearcc and Howie. Of these Messrs Carman and Spiers, and Capt. Hewitt are absolutely new to the work, Messrs Howie and Harford were elected to the last Board, whilst the others have all had long experience in the work, though some time has elapsed 6ince Mr Essex sat as a member of the Board.
