S. Paul inserts a notice re outstanding accounts. Rough Rider Clothing Co. insert new advts. on page 1. Collinson and Son have a fine stock of jam jars which have been marked down at very low prices. Holiday excursion tickets will be issued by the Railway Department for the Horowhenua A. and P. Show. Public meeting at Blackburn's Ilall on Wednesday evening to consider the proposed establishment of a new school in the western' end of the town. A special meeting of the Oroua Lodge of Druids is called for Thursday evening to receive Grand President, Bro. W. Hunter, and other Grand Lodge officers. C. M. Ross and Co., the Bon Marche. are making a clearance of remnants and oddments left over from their summer sale. These goods will be on offer until Saturday next. See advts. on pages 2 ■ and 4. Ravenhill and Co. have been instructed by Mrs Learv, who is leaving Palmerston, to sell her residence in Featherston street. The house contains seven rooms, and there arc six acres of land, two acres being under cultivation. ' Messrs Scoullar and Co., Ltd., advertise their Domes of Silence. These are invisible castors of diamond-hardened steel, which it is impossible to break, and they can be fitted to any chair or table in a moment. The extra comfort obtained is wonderful, and the smallest pieces of furniture when fitted with thes'c invisible castors will glide with a velvety smoothness that has to be experienced to be understood.
