The Reichstag, by a huge majority, declined a motion to rescind the call to order which the Vice-President on Saturday administered to Herr Ledebour, tho Socialist Deputy, who demanded that the . Vice-President should rebuke Herr Von Oldeburg for claiming for the Kaiser the right to disperse the Reichstag with the bayonet. Only Radicals, Socialists and Poles voted in favour of upholding the Reichstag's sovereign rights. NEW YORK, Feb. 6. The Receiver appointed to examine Princess Sagany's estate reports that Jay Gould's estate was valued at 25 millions. The income in 1903 amounted to £939,505, and fell during the 1908 panic to £570,395. During the first four years of Anna Gould's marriage with Count Castellano she ivas responsible for £1,200,400 sterling of debts. The estate now allows her £40,000 annually. Creditors have already received £770,000 sterling. ATHENS, Feb. 6. M. Vonezuelo has returned to Crete. He recommends the Cretans to conform to the- wishes of the protesting powers to whom they owo evervthing. LONDON, Feb. 6. Tho Mansion House fund has reached £50,000. In the hearing of the Sackville peerage claim in the Probate Court, after respondent's case had closed, the claimant asked for a postponement to enable him to call the members of the Oliva family from Spain. Tho Standard's New York correspondent states that whereas the Dingley tariff secured from Germany a minimum rate on only a hundred commodities, the Payne tariff secured concessions affecting a- thousand commodities.
At Rugby, Wales defeated Scotland by 14 points to nil. SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 6. Karl Mueller, a pseudo German baron, has been arrested at Los Angeles and charged at Hobokcn (New Jersey) with bigamy and absconding with money. Nineteen wives are identifying accused in the Now York courts.
