ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
The cightoen-months-old daughter of Mr Bert Guy. of • Apiti, met with a painful accident through upsetting a tin containing muriatic acid over her arm. She is making good progress. A 34-year-old daughter of Mr. A. J. Arnold, of Heatherlea, met with a nasty accident on Monday afternoon. She was riding a pony through a gateway, when a piece of wire which was projecting from the gatepost caught the child's foot, tearing the flesh and sincwe from the instep to the toes. The little sufferer was brought into Levin for medical treatment.
