TO-NIGHT'S TOURNAMENT. (By "Old Sport.") Next to discussion of winners, retrospective and prospective, at Awapuni, the leading topic in sporting circles is the tournament to-night at the Opera House. All. the visiting "bruisers" have arrived, and express themselves as never having been more capable of bruising .than at present, while the local lads are equally confident of the capacity to knock corners off the anatomy of the outsiders. Some star turns are promised in the special line of business on the boards to-night, and local followers of the gentle are are looking forward with pleasure to the collision, between the. visiting lightweight champion, Metcalf, and the local star, Geoff. Shields and Treweek will also meet, and are exnected to Provide wakofnl sport, while two or three other bouts of an interesting nature (including a heavy-weight contest) will fill the bill.
