• manawatu racing club's autumn meeting. ".. firsFday. Glorious weather prevails for the opening day's events of the Manawatu Racing Club's autumn meeting. The attendance is good and promises to be excellent during the afternoon. The course and appointments having received every possible attention by the club's officials were in splendid condition. The recent rain benefited the racing track and the lawn, the latter being resplendent with autumn blooms, and added materially to the attractiveness of the racecourse and its surroundings. Twenty-four bookmakers were licensed by the club.
