The very satisfactory attendance at last week's gaslight sports have encouraged the promoters to make improvements in their arrangements for the next meeting on "Wednesday week. Seats will be provided for the ladiee present and the programme witlrtne names of the competitors, numbers and respective heats will be printed and given to the.spectators sates, sp. that there AVill*e no difficulty lii ; .following tlie proceedings. For the sports on March 24 there is a 75 yards handicap of £10 and. a Consolation Handicap of £2. Entries close on Thursday next. Some excitaig finishes were witnessed at last ween s meeting, and if the events are as well managed as they were laet week the promoters may look for a continuance of public) support.
