Mr and Mrs Willsher, of Kelvin Grove, intend leaving Palmorston ii> about three weeks' time for a trip to the Old Country. Mr Willsher, who is a director of the New Zealand Farmers Dairy Union, has been 'granted the necessary leave of absence by the directors. Mr P. R. Le Coutcur, aged 22, of the Queen's College, Melbourne, has been selected as the Victorian Rhodes scholar for this year. The only other candidate was Mr G. Hazhtt, a weilknown cricketer, and"-on of Mr James Hazlitt, who was recently stage manager for the " Brcwster's Millions" Company ii\ Now Ze&land. Miss Eusebia Munro, a sister t.r Mis Hawsbii. late of Sydney, has taicj/i up her permanent residence in Palmar-ton. Miss Munro is a member of the t-'ytlnsy Philharmonic Orchestra, being first violinist and has been conductor ot the Sydney Ladies' Orchestra. With these credentials Miss Munro should be an acquisition to musical circles in th:s town. ■
