Wedding

A pretty and popular wedding was solemnised at All Saints' Church this morning by the Rev. C. C. Harper, when Mr Alexander Brook-Taylor, eldest son of Mr A. Brook-Taylor, of the Union Bank, Hastings, was married to Miss Zilla Flyger, second daughter of Mr H. T. Flyger, a well-known resident ot Fitzherbert East. The wedding cercmony was conducted in the presence of a large number of friends of the young couple. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very charming in a handsome dress of cream ivory duchess satin tastefully trimmed. She wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms and carried a beautiful bouquet, the gift of Miss McFarlane. She was assisted by her sister, Miss Doris Flyger, in the capacity of bridesmaid. The latter v 1 iressed in white silk with pretty pif . ■ • hat to match. The bridegroom supported by Mr T. Miller, Wellington, as best man. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a gold " granny" chain, and to the bridesmaid a gold neck chain. The bride presented the bridegroom with a handsome silver-mounted walking stick. The presents received by the happy pair were numerous and of great value. After the ceremony was over, an adjournment was made to Youngson's, where the wedding breakfast was served. Some eighty guests were pre sent. Mr and Mrs Brook-Taylor lelfc by the midday tram for Napier for their honeymoon. The bride's travelling dress was a navy blue tailor-made costume.
