Star and Golden Cairn did six, j finishing together. They then trotted j well. Weary Bill ran a mile in 1.494. Medallist defeated Ito and Whaka- | wehi over six furlongs, taking 1.19, the former under a pull. Devonia and Playmate did a mile, the former taking 1.45, Playmate being eased over the last furlong. Volume, Star Rose, Maui, and Gold Crown hopped off together. The two latter drew away, covering a mile in 1.46§, The others were several lengths away under a puli. Lamaria put in an attractive gallop over seven furlongs. Moscow and Truce did good striding work. Grand Slam, Submarine and Tani»imoana covered six furlongs fast, the last half in 54aec. Submarine appeared to hold his companions safe. Gazeley cantered round thrice and Exmoor covered a mile alone in fast time. Albuera did the same in Lrriin 50sec. Togo ran half a mile smartly and Capulet did two circles, moving freely. Lady Warwick and Rustique ran six furlong? together in linin 18 3-saec. Neither wore ridden out/ Helen .Portland and Fontenoy took lmin 20 4 ssec over the same distance. Neither were extended, Fontenoy running out very wide. Armamento did .six furlongs in Imm 22sec.
